We have waited on the Lord for quite some time over His vision for our congregation. Initially, we were inspired by the Great Commandment in Mark 12:30,31 that we summarized as “Love God – Love People”. Our heart is to draw near to our heavenly Father and worship Him with our entire lives. Likewise, we want to extend His love toward people.
As we continued to seek the Lord to clarify our passion and focus, we sensed Him directing us to scriptures that talked about the desert coming into bloom (Isaiah 35). We began to see that one of the distinctives about our fellowship – that we love to pray for people – is a critical part of our identity. Eventually this developed into the third pillar of our vision – “Lives Transformed”. We long to see lives transformed by the power of God – the sick being healed, the broken being made whole, the poor being served and honoured. This is what we were created for. This is who the Lord is building us to be.
